write an essay in which you analyze the importance of plot event and characters actions to the development of the story theme. Note that your essay should focus on the theme first and discuss plot and characters in relation to that theme. Review and evaluate a story from the unit that has a clearly identifiable theme. You may choose "The tell Tale Heart" by Edgar Allen Poe. Be sure to write a clear statement of its theme. In your essay answer the following question:How do various elements of the story - central conflict and resolution, characters' dialogue and behavior - contribute to the story's theme?

Find the:

Conflict
Resolution
Main characters dialogue and thoughts
And how the dialogue and thoughts bias the characters behavior.
I've only read a little of the story but you should be able to describe the mans thoughts and actions to understand his behavior.
For example, in the end, the man tells the police that he killed the old man.
What in the story reflects his behavior?
The way he hears the heart?
The way he says that he loves the old man and its only because of his eye?
Use these and other events to develop how the characters behavior comntributes to the story's name.
Lastly, use everything you found to come up with the theme.
Finally, put in order asked and in paragraph form.

Sorry if this doesn't help you.
I've only read a small portion of this.

Squeaky doesn’t let Gretchen win. If you read the story you would see that squeaky won. The text says: “in first place- Miss Hazel Elixabeth Deborah Parker” Loki is wrong.

Loki's dead

How would you like us to help you with this assignment?

I want what if the story is 5 pages long how do you write the essay

Oh my god thanks loki

This is for those of you who are seeking answers and the "teachers" (mewling quims) wont help you. The theme in Raymond's run is not everything is a competition meaning not everything in life has to do with competing to win for example Squeaky really wants to win the race but she lets Gretchen win because not everything in life is a competition like Squeaky thinks it is. Hope this helps.
