A rectangle with a perimeter of 172ft needs how many tiles that are ft squares !! I'm thinking 172 bc 1ft 1 by 1ft is still 1ft
Now you have changed the question from your previous post.
If all you know is the perimeter to be 172, the answer would not be unique
e.g. suppose the rectangle is 50 and 36 ft
(notice perimeter is 172)
area = 50(36) or 1800 ft^2, thus we need 1800 tiles
e.g. suppose the rectangle is 40 by 46 ft
(notice the perimeter is 172)
area = 1840 , thus we need 1840 tiles
e.g. suppose the rectangle is 85 by 1
(notice the perimeter is 172)
area = 85 , thus we need 85 tiles
etc.
