17.D I'm sorry, but frankly, I'd don't use "The Ribbon" in my 2011 version. It's very confusing and not helpful. I even bought a book to help me learn this thing, but it was not helpful, either!
I use the File | Edit | View | Insert | Format ... menus that are across the very top of the screen. I'd use Table, then Insert, then choose one of the column choices.
