Change to simple past tense :

1. We shall not see him again.
2. Is there any man who does not love his country.

The simple past is the one that means the action occurred in the past and is not continuing:

He walked home.
She went to school.
They wrote their names on the petition.

Once you have revised the two sentences (the second one is actually a question), post them here and someone will check them for you.

It's almost an hour later. You haven't figured this out yet?

We shall not see him again

____ ___

1. We did not see him again.

To change the verb "shall" to past tense, we use "did not" followed by the base form of the verb, which in this case is "see."

2. Was there any man who did not love his country?
To change the verb "does" to past tense, we use "did" followed by the base form of the verb, which in this case is "love." We also change "is" to "was" to reflect past tense.
