Jenna, I seriously hope you're kidding. It is very important to learn these things, teachers will even explain why it's important to learn it. It is incredibly ignorant for you to say adults are brainwashing kids.
1. wrong. Evolution is not concerned with individuals adapting, but with genetic mutations or differences which favor survival and repoduction.
2. wrong. You just discovered an unknown branch of aminalia in the "tree of life'
