Can someone please help? I'm given a box and whisker plot that represents the cost, in dollars, of 12 CDs. How can I determine how many CD's cost between $14.60 (Q1 value) and $26 (Q3 value) and how many CD's cost less than $14.60?

The number of CD's between Q1 and Q3 should be half of the total number of CD's.

From the plot, you will not know how many cost less than $14.6, but since Q1 is 14.6, there are at most one quarter of the number of CD's cost less than $14.60.

(One quarter of 12 CD's is 3).

The 4 CD's below Q1 could cost anything up to $14.60. We don't get to know from the box and whiskers plot.
