I am doing a slavery project and I chose "Early and Forced Marriage" as my form of slavery. There is one section of the project that I do not get how to properly search for information and it is "can you find what kind of protection they(the country chosen) have by law? (check UN declaration of Human Rights, UN conventions, country laws)" and the country I have chosen is Pakistan. Could someone please help me out and give me a few points on this? Also, what organizations are geared towards bringing awareness to and eliminating the problem?

These are regular google search results:

These are scholarly articles with the same search terms:

Read lots and take good notes.

To find information on the legal protections against early and forced marriage in Pakistan, you can follow these steps:

1. Start by searching for "laws against early and forced marriage in Pakistan." This will give you some general information about the topic.

2. Look for official government sources such as the official website of the Government of Pakistan or the Ministry of Human Rights. These sources often provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on legal protections.

3. Check the United Nations' official website for information on UN declarations and conventions related to human rights. Specifically, look for the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), as these are relevant to the issue of early and forced marriage.

4. Browse through the websites of international human rights organizations such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and International Women's Rights NGOs. These organizations often publish reports and information on the legal framework and protections against early and forced marriage in different countries.

5. Look for any relevant legislation or legal reforms specifically enacted in Pakistan to address early and forced marriage. This can include laws related to the minimum age of marriage or Punishment for Anticipatory Bail Ordinance, among others.

Regarding organizations working to bring awareness and eliminate early and forced marriage, here are a few examples:

1. Girls Not Brides: This global partnership aims to end child marriage and provides resources, research, and initiatives to address the issue worldwide.

2. Plan International: An international children's charity that works to advance children's rights and equality for girls, including combatting child marriage.

3. The Aurat Foundation: A Pakistani NGO focused on women's rights, working to eliminate early and forced marriage, and advocating for legal reforms.

4. UNICEF: United Nations Children's Fund, which works to protect children's rights and support interventions to prevent child marriage worldwide.

Remember, in your research, try to use credible and reputable sources to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information you gather.
