Which of the following is not a characteristic of igneous rocks?

Igneous rocks are formed when molten rock cools and hardens.

Igneous rocks have crystal grains.

Igneous rocks are larger in size because the rock cooled more slowly after the hot
lava came out from the ground.

Igneous rocks have distinct layers that represent the time period when sediments
were being deposited in them.

1.false

2.sedimentary or answer B.
3.metamorphic or answer C.
4. answer D.
100% correct I said true at first one and got 75 % which is good but 100% is better

Which is not a characteristic of an Igneous rock. An Igneous rock is in other words, a LAVA rock. LAVA has nothing to do with SEDIMENT and LAYERS. Therefore, D is not a characteristic of an Igneous rock. IT is actually a characteristic of a Sedimentary rock.

An Igneous rock, or a lava rock, forms from cooling magma or lava. The magma hardens from underground to form a rock or the lava erupts and hardens from the Earth’s surface. The first example I showed you, ‘The magma hardens from underground to form a rock’ creates a rock called Intrusive igneous rock. It crystallize below Earth's surface and the slow cooling that occurs there allows large crystals to form. Examples of intrusive igneous rocks are diorite, gabbro, granite, pegmatite, and peridotite. The second example,’ the magma hardens from underground to form a rock or the lava erupts and hardens from the Earth’s surface.’ Is the process of creating an Extrusive igneous rock.

It erupts onto the surface where they cool quickly to form small crystals. Some cool so quickly that they form an amorphous glass. These rocks include andesite, basalt, obsidian, pumice, rhyolite, scoria, and tuff. Because the Intrusive rock takes more time to form, it has more crystals, KEEP in mind.

A SEDIMENTARY rock forms when small particles of rocks or organic remains are pressed/cemented TOGETHER. This rock from in LAYERS that are buried below the surface.

which of the following is not a characteristic of igneous rocks? A. Crystalline B. Amoghavarsha C. Alberuni D. Chand bardai

Since this is not my area of expertise, I searched Google under the key words "igneous rocks" to get these possible sources:

In the future, you can find the information you desire more quickly, if you use appropriate key words to do your own search. Also see http://hanlib.sou.edu/searchtools/.
