( I have to do either a creative or personal response to a visual. I have chosen to do a personal response in the form of an essay. Obviously, I can't show the visual but I can describe it: A man in a swimsuit is jumping out of rough cliffs ( not in focus) into a bright ocean ( in focus). The body language is graceful; his diving in a way that could be symbolically be viewed as acceptance)

( I would like some feedback, please)

Question: What does the text suggest about the ways in which an individual's attitude towards life impacts the person they become?

There are many things in life that influence who we become. A person can be influenced by the circumstances in their lives, their family and peers, and their attitude towards life. In this picture of a man jumping off a cliff into the ocean below, the text creator is trying to suggest that a positive attitude towards life can be rewarding.

The man in the picture is jumping off the cliff into the wide ocean. The cliff in the picture is rough and isolated, and out of focus, which may symbolize a person who loos at life in a negative manner. The ocean, on the other hand, is bright, endless and welcoming which may suggest the opportunities that are open to the person who embraces life. The body language is also symbolic; the man has his arms thrown back and is falling towards the sea in a graceful manner. The man's body language shows that he embraces life and he gets his reward by swimming in the ocean-a world of endless and welcoming opportunities.

The text suggests that embracing life can make us a better person and, in turn, lead a more fulfilling and happy life. If a person looks at life in a positive manner, regardless of their circumstances, they will be rewarded by an ocean of opportunities

( It is short for an essay but I am just practising for an upcoming test and this is one of my first times writing an essay responding to text. The text I had was also very minimal in detail.)

Thank you!

I think this is quite good. To nitpick, all those people in your first paragraph have various attitudes (plural).

As a suggestion, you might expand a little on those influences and whether or not we adopt them as our own or think about them and decide for ourselves. Are we bound, somehow, to follow others' attitudes?

Your interpretation of the visual is well stated.

Thank you Reed :) I really appreciate you feedback

Your personal response to the visual is well-written and provides a clear interpretation of the image. You effectively analyze the elements of the picture, such as the rough cliffs and the bright ocean, to support your interpretation of the individual's attitude towards life. Your explanation of the body language further strengthens your argument about the importance of embracing life and the potential rewards that can come from having a positive attitude.

In terms of feedback, one suggestion would be to provide more specific examples or evidence from the picture to support your points. For instance, you could describe the colors, lighting, or other visual details that contribute to your interpretation. Additionally, you could expand on how the man's graceful diving and acceptance may symbolize personal growth and development.

Overall, your response demonstrates an understanding of the connection between an individual's attitude towards life and the impact it can have on shaping their character and experiences. With some additional elaboration and evidence, your essay will be even stronger. Good luck with your upcoming test!
