This is my new assignment. I need a bit of help. I believe my answer is correct. However my textbook doesn't state it.

A) "Al-Anon":
A. was established by the same two men who founded AA.
B. was established by the nonalcoholic wife of one of the men who founded AA.
C. was established by Mrs. Bill Wilson who was an alcoholic.
D. was established for the family and friends of cocaine users. Reset Selection

B is my answer...

B is almost correct. It was established by Bill W.'s wife and a friend of hers.

No actually B is correct "His wife, who was nonalcoholic, established Al-non, patterned on the AA model, for the family members of alcoholics."

I suggest you should do some research before you tell kids what is wrong and right. I've seen many mistakes by tutors here. -Thank you and Good-bye :)

I checked several sources. This quote is from the above site.

"1951 - Lois W., wife of Bill W., co-founder of AA, and Anne B. founded Al-Anon. "

It appears that your book has incomplete information.

To properly answer this question, we need to find reliable information about the establishment of Al-Anon. While your textbook may not provide the answer, there are other sources you can consult to verify your answer.

Here's how you can find the correct information:

1. Use a search engine: Start by using a search engine like Google or Bing. Enter keywords such as "history of Al-Anon" or "establishment of Al-Anon" to find relevant sources.

2. Visit official websites: Look for websites that are directly affiliated with Al-Anon, such as their official website or other reputable organizations related to addiction and recovery. These sources usually provide accurate and reliable information.

3. Explore reputable books or articles: Look for books or articles written by experts or professionals in the field of addiction and recovery. These sources often provide well-researched and accurate information.

4. Cross-reference information: Once you have found multiple sources, cross-reference the information you find to ensure consistency. Check if multiple sources confirm the same fact regarding the establishment of Al-Anon.

By following these steps, you can find reliable information to determine whether your answer, option B, is correct or if it's necessary to choose a different option.
