(Math test) Real numbers and the coordinate plane unit test part 1

I only have 17 questions...

Based off of research about converting non-terminating decimals into rational numbers, I have to go with A.

I hope this helps! :)

0.8743 8743 8743

8743 * 10^-4 + 8743 * 10^-8 + 8743 * 10^-12 ......

repeating decimal, infinite geometric series

a = 8743
r = 10^-4
sum = a/(1-r)
= 8743 /(1 - .0001)
=8743/.9999 = 87430000 / 9999
which is a rational number being the quotient of two integers/

Everyone has a different order of questions on the test

Hubuy ---- yes they are the same thing, also those are all the correct answers Hpyi :)):

In other words, Brady is right :)

Thank you both!
