You are provided with 5 M solutions of sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid for use in this experiment (Separation). How you would have prepared these solutions.

mols NaOH needed = M x L = ?
Then grams = mols x molar mass = ?
Weigh out the NaOH, add to a volumetric flask, add some water, swirl to dissolve all of the solid, make to the mark of the flask, mix thoroughly.
Same for HCl.
