It can't possibly be 68 quarters? If I was to divide 17/0.25= 68, is that the final answer???!! Or do I have to then divide 68 by 4??

Why can't it be 68 quarters?

Please see my last post.

68 quarters is a lot more then $17.00!

68 * 0.25 = 17

To determine the number of quarters in 17 dollars, you divide the total amount by the value of each quarter. In this case, the value of a quarter is $0.25.

When you divide 17 by 0.25, you get 68. However, this answer does not represent the number of quarters.

To find the final answer, you need to divide the amount in dollars by the value of each quarter, which is $0.25.

So, to get the correct answer, divide 68 by 4:

68 quarters / 4 = 17 quarters

Therefore, there are 17 quarters in 17 dollars.
