How do I find out the sum of the first 38 terms of the sequence using 4,8,2,6,2,4,8,2,6,2... I am confused.

Note that the terms come in repeating groups of 5.

38 = 7*5 + 3
So, S38 = 7(4+8+2+6+2) +4+8+2 = 168
