One thing I realized long ago, after some remarks by a Nobel Prize winner made some remarks..it doesn't matter much what we study in school, as long as we teach something in depth, and teach skill in analysis (thinking), critical thinking (reading, writing, math), and language skills (speaking, writing, reading). With those skills, one will do well in whatever field they come upon.
