Re-write the following sentences in correct Spanish and use direct and indirect object pronouns.

1.) We need to wash the car for you.
2.) We used to wash the car.
3.) Mom makes pizza.
4.) Mom makes pizza for me.
5.) I want to see a movie.(una película)
6.) Mom wants to make pizza for me.

My answers:

1.) Tenemos que lavar el coche para usted.

2.) Se utilizó para lavar el coche.

3.) Mamá hace la pizza.

4.) Mamá hace la pizza para mí.

5.) Quiero ver una película.

6.) Mamá quiere hacer la pizza para mí.

Could someone help me with these? Are these right? Thanks! :)

I'll send this to our Spanish expert, SraJMcGin.

Because the directions require that you use direct and indirect object pronouns, your answers are all wrong.

Direct Object Pronouns: me, te, lo, la, nos, os, los, las

Indirect Object Pronouns: me, te, le, nos, os, les

Notice that they look alike except for lo, lo, los, las & le, les (3rd person, singular & plural)

Both of these usually go in front of the conjugated verb, except in affirmative commands. Then, they are attached to the verb.

If you are just studying these, you probably do not have both in the same sentence. When you do, the indirect precedes the direct.

I'll do #1 for you and then you try the others, reposting here. I'll flag this so I can come back later to check what you have done and/or answer any questions you might have.

1. Necesitamos lavarte (familiar) or lavarle (formal = a usted) el coche.

It has now been 2 days with no answer from you. I am unflagging this, so I will not be back.

Sra

Your answers are almost correct, but there are a few changes that need to be made:

1.) Necesitamos lavar el coche para ti. (Direct object pronoun: "el coche" - the car, Indirect object pronoun: "ti" - for you)

2.) Solíamos lavar el coche. (There are no object pronouns in this sentence)

3.) Mamá hace pizza. (There are no object pronouns in this sentence)

4.) Mamá hace pizza para mí. (Direct object pronoun: "pizza" - pizza, Indirect object pronoun: "mí" - for me)

5.) Quiero ver una película. (There are no object pronouns in this sentence)

6.) Mamá quiere hacerme pizza. (Direct object pronoun: "pizza" - pizza, Indirect object pronoun: "me" - for me)
