increasing the amount of fuel available
managing wildfires.

3. Which of the following lines from "Birdfoot's Grampa" appeals to the sense of touch? (1 point)
"a mist about his white hair"
"But, leathery hands full"***
"roadside grass"
"he just smiled and said"

i am very unsure about these two.
pls check asap

I disagree with 1 and agree with 3.

1. Read your choices carefully.

well, u would need fuel to start fires so, i guess it wont be that one...???

i think its the second one since protecting older/bigger trees take up space
or am i thinking backwards???

I haven't read this article, but doesn't the author want to thin the forest to help prevent forest fires?

People who clear forests seldom worry about which are older and which aren't. Here's a good example:

http://grist.org/news/winery-plans-to-chop-down-california-redwoods-to-make-room-for-vineyards/

the book is really confusing, it goes back and forth! i cant seem to figure it out, i read it three times...

i don't know which one ur exactly pointing to here.....

Question 1 reads, "Which of these is NOT a goal ... ?"

NOT!!

c... (im gonna jump off a cliff if im wrong)

b! i meant b!!! i think because if u want to make the forest smaller, you wont try to protect BIG trees.....

I agree with you ... B.

I'm so sorry ... but I think they're wrong! (We run across errors in tests and texts all the time, unfortunately.)
