X Heads to start with.

(X-24) = Bal.

(X-24) - 2/7(X-24) = 5/7(x-24).

5/7(X-24) = X/2

Multiply both sides by 14:

10x-240 = 7x

3x = 240

X = 80 Heads of lettuce.
