expand the expression 3(10x12) what method am i suppose to use is it distributed property if is how do i use it

Yes, you are right. Use distribution and multiply each number in the parenthesis aka the "10x" and "12" by 3.
So it would be
10x(times 3)  12(times 3)
30x  36
30x + 36
