a baseball is popped straight up. the ball leaves the bat moving at 37.8 m/s. at what time after being struck is the ball moving at 10 m/s upwards? where is the baseball at this time?

answer= 67.9m
I need to know how to get this answer

  • physics. again. - ,

    V== Vo + g*t = 10 m/s.
    37.8 + (-9.8)t = 10
    -9.8t = 10-37.8 =-27.8
    t = 2.84 s.

    h = Vo*t + 0.5g*t^2
    h = 37.8*2.84 - 4.9*2.84^2 = 67.83 m.
