A geneticist is studying a pedigree that shows the family history of a recessive genetic
disease. Which of the following pedigrees shows an impossible relationship? (
I not sure
You did not give answer choice or an image.
But, I'll tell you what would be impossible. It would be absolutely impossible if they both did not have the recessive genetic disease, and the child would not be at risk or 100% guaranteed to get the disease.
It would be 100% possible for both Square 1 and Circle 1 to have the disease, and pass it to their offspring.
The answer is D. The whole square, and half the circle, and a completely empty circle. How would that be possible? Their child would have at least a 50% chance of having the illness. If you need more help let me know!
