Hi the problem reads.......give an example that shows how to use.the distributive property to multiply a number by a sum. All of the numbers you use should be mixed numbers or fractions.........PLEASE HELP!

3 2/3 (7/8 + 2 1/5)

= (3 2/3)(7/8) + (3 2/3)(2 1/5)

= (11/3)(7/8) + (11/3)(11/5)

= 77/24 + 121/15

= 385/120 + 968/120

= 1353/120

= 11 33/120

= 11 11/40
