i went to interior health festival, doing participant observation, its asking were there patterns of behaviour that are repeated?

just people socializing, I not notice anyting else, some healing sessions taking place.

how do i write about 5 senses? i not touch anything or eat anything.

it also asked depending on event, how people are spaced? what they wearing? they were wearing like dresses the women.

Even though you didn't touch or eat anything, you still used your senses of sight, hearing, and smell.

How were people spaced? Did they stand close to each other? Did they touch? Were their faces 6 inches apart?

Were the dresses worn by the women drab or brightly colored? Were they modest? What did the men wear? Suits? Shirts and ties? Jeans?

What language were they speaking? Did they use a lot of jargon? What were they talking about? Did they laugh a lot? Did they speak softly or loudly?

thank you very much ms. sue :)

You're very welcome, Mohammad.

When writing about the 5 senses during your participant observation at the Interior Health festival, you can focus on the senses that were relevant to your experience. Since you mentioned that you didn't touch or eat anything, you can primarily focus on the remaining three senses: sight, hearing, and smell.

1. Sight: Describe the visual aspects of the festival. Observe the surroundings, the people, the decorations, and any other visual elements that stood out. For example, you can mention the overall atmosphere, colors, and the appearance of the healing sessions or other activities taking place.

2. Hearing: Pay attention to the sounds you heard during the festival. Notice the ambient noise, conversations, music, or any other sounds that contributed to the environment. Describe the types of sounds and their impact on the atmosphere.

3. Smell: Take note of any distinct smells that you encountered. This could include the scent of food or beverages being served, natural aromas associated with healing sessions, or any other fragrances present at the festival.

Regarding the spacing of people, observe and describe how individuals are positioned in relation to each other. Notice if they are spread out or clustered together in specific areas. Pay attention to how closely people are interacting or if there are any obvious spatial patterns.

Furthermore, consider describing the clothing attire of the attendees. Based on your observation, you mentioned that women were wearing dresses. Note any common clothing choices or styles you noticed among different groups of people. This could include any specific themes or trends that stood out.

Remember, participant observation is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the event and capture the patterns and behaviors that you personally observe. Your unique perspective is valuable in analyzing and describing the event.
