(2x6)(3x4)=(4+x)4x+6 the answer is 3 but i don't understand how you get it

(2x6)(3x4)=(4+x)4x+6
2x 6 3x + 4 = 4 x 4x +6
x 2 = 5x + 10
x +5x 2 = 5x +5x + 10
4x 2 =10
4x 2 + 2 = 10 + 2
4x = 12
4x/4 = 12/4
x = 3
( 2 x  6 )  ( 3 x  4 ) =  (  4 + x )  4 x + 6
2 x  6  3 x  (  4 ) =  (  4 ) + (  x )  4 x + 6
2 x  6  3 x + 4 = 4  x  4 x + 6
2 x  3 x  6 + 4 = 4 + 6  x  4 x
 x  2 = 10  5 x Add 5 x to both sides
 x  2 + 5 x = 10  5 x + 5 x
4 x  2 = 10 Add 2 to both sides
4 x  2 + 2 = 10 + 2
4 x = 12 Divide both sides by 4
x = 12 / 4
x = 3
