9. To be a teacher aide in an ESL classroom, you should
A. have an ear for language.
B. receive certification in ESL instruction, if possible.
C. speak at least one other language besides English.
D. have prior teacher aide experience in a “regular†classroom.
my answer is (a) can some one check this for me please.Thank you.
I do not think (a) is the right answer. That would be a good quality to have, but (c) speak another language- is the right answer. Think about it, if your an esl teacher and you only know English, how do you teach the class that doesn't understand you? And I know (d) and (b) are not right because you don't need any experience to be an esl teacher. Hope that helps
C is not correct. It's nice, but not necessary.
B and D would be nice, too.
Vanessa, what if a person is an ESL teacher who is fluent in English and German ... and then gets a class with students whose original languages are Hmong, Taiwanese, and Farsi??
C- is NOT correct
