Suppose a sports runner completes a 10K (10.0km) road race in 42 minutes and 27 seconds. What is the runner's average speed in miles per hour?

    time=42'27" or 42 and 27/60 min or 42.45 min= 42.45/60 hr =.7075 hr

    distance 10Km*1mile/1.609km =9.43 mi

    check those. speed=distance/time
