Describe the difference between an open equation and a closed equation.
And on my last quest did steve mean 4,0 and 3, -2?
opps i meant 3, -1
Please help i need to get this done
I don't understand this -- but you might.
http://www.computersimulation.org/nummethods/openequations.shtml
a closed equation is a statement of fact that may be true or false
eg
2 + 2 = 4 closed true
3 + 2 = 5 closed false
an open equation is one where it may or may not be true depending on the value of a variable
eg
x + 2 = 4
I do not know what you did with Steve
Okay thanks damon can you help em with this one?
Look at the following points.
(4, 0), (3, −1), (6, 3), (2, −4)
Which are solutions to y = x − 4? Choose all correct answers.
this is the one i dide with steve
the coices
(6, 3)
(4, 0)
(3, −1)
(2, −4)
(4, 0), (3, −1), (6, 3), (2, −4)
Which are solutions to y = x − 4
(4, 0)
0 = 4 - 4 true
(3, −1)
-1 = 3-4 true
(6, 3)
3 = 6 - 4 false
(2, −4)
-4 = 2 -4 false
