Why did Spain not colonize in some significant areas of north america??

The British and French colonized northern parts of North America while the Spanish were busy with southern North America and South America.

why were they not able to get some parts... is it because of the competition with the other countries?

Yes, competition played a large part.

is it also because their main purpose was to get all the treasures instead of land so they could fund wars in europe?

Yes.

were some reasons that spain was able to colonize disease, horses, and weapons??

is this correct?

It was hard for Apain to colonize even though they were the the first Europeans in the new world because they did not have colonization in mind when they first arrived. When they first arrived, they were focused on gold and treasures to fund their country and when they decided to start colonizing, the other Europeans countries had arrived leading to the Spanish not getting much.

*Spain

Spain still had access to much of South America (except Brazil) plus Central America, Mexico, and some of the Caribben islands.
