how to solve this question? to print 6000 post cards suppose it costs 2 cents to print a large postcard and 1 cent to print a small postcard. If $97 dolllars is allocated for printing the postcards how many of each type can be printed

Altogether you have 9700 cents, so you just need to find b and s (for big and small) such that
2b+s = 9700
but, you also know that
b+s = 6000
So,
2b+(6000b) = 9700
b+6000 = 9700
b=3700
So, print 3700 big cards and 2300 small cards.
check:
2*3700 = 7400
1*2300 = 2300
total: 9700
