How do you write an equation of a line in slope intercept form if two points are given? Ex. Say you were given the points (0,6) and (4,3)? What would you do?

Math Linear function help?
drwls,
The slope of the line is
m = (y2y1)/(x2x1)
=(36)/(40) = 3/4
When x = 0, y = 6, so the yintercept is 6.
y = (3/4)x + 6 is the equation you want.
