How do you write an equation of a line in slope intercept form if two points are given? Ex. Say you were given the points (0,6) and (4,3)? What would you do?

The slope of the line is

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
=(3-6)/(4-0) = -3/4

When x = 0, y = 6, so the y-intercept is 6.

y = (-3/4)x + 6 is the equation you want.
