In a bibliography, what is the title of the website?

For example, for mises[dot]org/daily/3663 (please replace the [dot] with a period)
is the title of the website "Mises[dot]org", "Ludwig von Mises Institute", or neither?

I always thought it was, for exmaple, "Ludwig von Mises" but easybib[dot]com gives "CNN,com" as an example.

In a bibliography, the title of the website refers to the specific name of the website itself. It is usually found at the top of the webpage or in the browser's title bar. However, it is important to note that websites can include the name of the organization or institute that hosts the website as part of their title.

In the example you provided, the URL "mises.org/daily/3663" does not explicitly indicate the title of the website. To determine the title, you can navigate to the homepage of the website using the domain name "mises.org" without any additional paths or subdirectories. Once you are on the homepage, you will typically find the title of the website displayed prominently.

In this case, the title of the website is "Mises Institute," as it is run by the Ludwig von Mises Institute. Therefore, the website's title for your bibliography would be "Mises Institute."
