Name 3 consecutive odd integers (X,X+2,X+4)
The difference between 2X and X+4 =(X+2)24
Can you show HOW to solve?

Math Reiny, Friday, May 24, 2013 at 5:56pm
x+4  2x = x+2  24
2x = 26
x = 13
the three number are 13 , 15 , and 17
check:
difference between 2x and x+4 is
x+4  2x
= 4x = 413 = 9
but this is supposed to be x+2 24
= 13+224 = 9
my answer is correct
