Hi I need help on how many outcomes are possible for these? For breakfast choices possibilities. I tried, but I feel like I am not getting it.

Assuming one must make a single choice in each group, so it is a three-step experiment.

choices for group 1 = 2

choices for group 2 = 3

choices for group 3 = 2

Total number of outcomes in the sample space is therefore the product of the choices in each group (step).
