Homework Help: algebra word problem

Posted by Deb on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 4:25pm.

Not exactly sure how to solve this.

2000 tickets were sold for a play generating $19,700. The price for tickets $5 for children, $10.00 for students and $12.00 for adults. There were 100 more adult tickets sold than students. Find the number of each type of ticket sold.

Thanks for your help.
