well, my question was, which time period should i do?

Some of the most interesting decades to me are the 1920s, 1940s, and 1950s.

You'll have to make your own decision.

Sure! Choosing a specific time period in which to explore the role of women is a great topic for your junior thesis paper. To help you decide on a time period, here are some steps you can take:

1. Reflect on your interests: Think about which time periods in history captivate your attention the most. Are you drawn to the Victorian era, the Roaring Twenties, or maybe the Civil Rights era? This will help ensure that you enjoy researching and writing about the chosen time period.

2. Review your school curriculum: Take a look at the historical periods you've covered in your history or social studies classes. Consider choosing a time period that aligns with your existing knowledge, as it can provide a good foundation for your research.

3. Conduct preliminary research: Start by doing some general research on different time periods to see what kind of information is available. Look for sources like history textbooks, academic databases, and reliable websites that provide insights into women's roles during those periods. This will help you assess the availability of information and whether a particular time period has a wealth of resources to draw from.

4. Identify key events and movements: Once you've shortlisted a few time periods that interest you and have ample resources, delve deeper into their historical context. Look for significant events, social movements, or cultural shifts that impacted women's roles during that time. This will help you develop a thesis statement that focuses on a specific aspect or angle of women's roles.

5. Consider diversity and intersectionality: Keep in mind that women's experiences differed greatly based on factors such as race, class, and ethnicity. You might want to explore how women's roles varied within different communities during the chosen time period, highlighting intersectionality in your research.

By following these steps, you should be able to choose a time period that aligns with your interests and provides ample material for your junior thesis paper. Remember to consult with your teacher for guidance and to discuss your chosen topic before proceeding with your research and writing. Good luck!
