critical thinking involves:coming up with the best solution, a thought process that is rationallogical &systematic, coming up with the best solution

a thought process that is rational, logical, and systematic

to write well is to: express thoughts &ideas completely &concisely, use a particular style of writing,or research your material.

One of the things I have come to realize, is the word "best" is never clear. I see critical analysis as coming up with alternatives, and learning to evaluate them against subjective and objective criteria.

Cindy -- what do you think is the best answer?

The best answer would be using a particular style of writing.

I disagree. A good writer expresses her thoughts clearly.

Sue, to write well don't the writer need his or her own particular style to connect with her audiance.

Ms. Sue is right. If you cannot express your ideas clearly and by using standard English ("don't the writer"??), it won't matter if you have your own voice or not.

You are correct. Critical thinking is a cognitive process that involves a number of important elements:

1. Rational and logical thought process: Critical thinking requires thinking clearly, objectively, and logically. It involves examining information, evidence, and arguments in a systematic and unbiased manner to arrive at well-reasoned conclusions.

2. Systematic analysis: Critical thinking involves breaking down complex problems or situations into smaller parts in order to better understand them. By systematically analyzing each component and examining relationships between them, critical thinkers can better grasp the underlying issues and identify potential solutions.

3. Evaluation of evidence and arguments: Critical thinkers carefully assess the information and evidence presented to them. They critically evaluate the quality, relevance, and reliability of the evidence and arguments in order to make informed judgments and decisions.

4. Creative problem-solving: Critical thinkers engage in creative and innovative thinking to find the best possible solutions to problems. They are open-minded and willing to consider multiple perspectives and alternative solutions.

5. Effective communication: Critical thinking involves clearly and effectively communicating ideas, arguments, and conclusions. It entails using logical reasoning and evidence to persuade and influence others.

To cultivate critical thinking skills, it is important to actively engage in exercises and practices that encourage logical reasoning, analysis, evaluation of evidence, and creativity. This can be done through activities such as reading diverse materials, solving puzzles, engaging in debates or discussions, and actively seeking out different perspectives on various issues.
