Simplify the expression. Write your answer in the lowest terms ans leave it in factored form.

I will assume you meant
(3y)/(y(4y1)) + 4/(4y1)
so the LCD = y(4y1)
= (3y + 4y)/(y(4y1))
= 7y/(y(4y1))

cancel the y's, so
answer is 7/(4y1)
