I don't know the significance of x1y1. It certainly is not indicating an exponent, since x^1 = x.

Online "^" is used to indicate and exponent, e.g., x^2 = x squared.

in the problem its doesn't give me an ^

its a table for an equation in this case y1=6+2x and i need to find the "y1"
