Homework Help: Algebra Recursive sequence help

I need some help as I'm totally lost! I need to find the first five terms of each recursive sequence.

The n-1 on the problem shows it below the a.

1. A1=3
An=2a n-1- 3

2. C1=64, C2=32

Cn= Cn-2 - Cn-1/2
