A piece of wood that is 9 feet long is cut in half legthwise. Each half is then cut legthwise into six congruent pieces. What is the length of each of the twelve small pieces of wood? Show your work.

    Wouldn't you divide 9 by 2 and get 4.5, then divide 4.5 by 6 and get 0.75 as my answer for the length of each piece of the 12 pieces of wood?
