derivative of (3x+2)^6- 8(7x^2+9)^4 all cube rooted! plz help!

This is the chain rule used several times.

Begin with EVERYTHING you stated all cube rooted.

Rewrite as (Everything)^1/3

the derivative is 1/3(Everything)^-1/3

then you have to take the derivative inside the ( Everything) and multiply it by your first step.

Look at (3x+2)^6

Chain rule again (3)(6)(3x+2)^5

-8(7x^2 +9)^4 Chain rule again

-32(7x^2 + 9 )^3 times 14x

I remember the chain rule by saying the derivative of the whole expression times the derivative of what is inside the ( )
