The length of a rectangle is 10 in less than twice its width. if the area is 2160 what are the dimensions?

L = 2W -10

L * W = 2160

Substitute 2W-10 for L in second equation and solve for W. Insert that value into the first equation and solve for L. Check by inserting both values into the second equation.
