**Ms. Sue**, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 7:43pmShe runs 1 mile in 8 laps.

Therefore she runs 1/8 of a mile in 1 lap.

3 times 1/8 = 3/8

So when she runs 3/8 of a mile, she's run 3 laps.
