But, you can't be smart IF YOU SHOUT IN CAPS!!
log 45^x = x log45, so you are correct again.
log 12^(x+1) = (x+1) log 12/log 6, so you are right again.
Don't know whether you're smart, but you seem to understand logs. Better than I did when I was in Algebra II. Got a D on my first test with logs. A bit later it all clicked, and was clear sailing thereafter.
