I believe you stated the problem incorrectly. It does not accelerate FROM 96.56 km/h. That is the FINAL velocity after 4.3 seconds. It accelerates TO 96.56 km/h
The average speed during acceleration at a constant rate (from a standing start) is half the final velocity.
