There are a total of 50 students in the Englewood band. 23 of them are boys. Let (g) represent the number of girls in the band. Which equation shows the number of girls in band?
a. 50+23=g
b. gx23=50
c. g-23=50
d. 50-23=g

my answer is B. Is this correct?
