The percent of homes with digital TV services, which stood at 6% at the beginning of 1999 (t = 0) was projected to grow linearly so that at the beginning of 2003 (t = 4) the percent of such homes was projected to be 28%.
(a) Derive an equation of the line passing through the points A(0, 6) and B(4, 28).

A(0,6), B(4,28).

m = (28-6)/(4-0) = 22/4 = 11/2 = 5.5.

Y = mx + b.
(11/2)*0 + b = 6
b = 6.

Y = (11/2)x + 6.
