a projectile is fired horizontally outward from the top of a table. the initial height of the bullet above the ground is 1.5 meters and the bullet travels a horizontal distance of 3.0 meters before striking the ground.

Is there a question here? How fast was it traveling?

time to fall 1.5 meters: 1.5=1/2 g t^2 solve for time t in the air.

How fast?
horizontal distance=velocity*timeinair
solve for velocity
