**Reiny**, Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 11:39pmf(x) = (3x^3+5x^2+8x-8)/x

= 3x^2 + 5x + 8 - 8/x

f ' (x) = 6x + 5 + 8/x^2

or (6x^3 + 5x^2 + 8)/x^2
