Judy bought a coat at a 20% discount sale for $68. What was the original price of the coat?
0.8x = 68
Solve for x
and can you tell me how u set the equation up ?
Judy paid 80% of the original price.
80% of something is 68
Okay I think I get it..
you just used the compliment to add up to 100? We are given 20%... did you say 100-20=80 and then turned 80 into a decimal ?
Aren't u supposed to make 20 into a decimal and multiply that by 68? That's what I learned. Either I'm right or he tought my grade wrong lol
